Psychometry is a form of extrasensory perception (ESP) where a psychic can obtain information about a person, place, event, or object through physical contact with an object related to the subject. Practitioners of psychometry believe that objects, especially those close to individuals, such as personal belongings, hold the energy or psychic residues of those individuals. Through touching or holding these objects, psychics assert they can access these energies, enabling them to perceive information about the object's history, or about the person to whom the object belongs, including their emotions, experiences, or events they have been involved in.
